ID Ranger is the first portable reader able to read the data contained in passports and electronic identity cards and compare them with the photo that is taken at the moment.
The goal for us was to design a portable, robust object, capable of facilitating document control on the move.
IID Ranger is equipped with a 2D code reader with auto focus, a camera and an ocr scanner to capture ID document data.
We have provided a clamp to hold the documents while scanning the codes in order to allow the operator to use the instrument with only one hand.
The extended battery life allows to use the device for the entire workshift, without having to recharge it.
Features such as voice-to-text conversion, the ability to select a dedicated scan button, and the ease of placing a document inside the scanner make it an extremely versatile tool.
